To access controls, go to Visual Composer Dashboard and open the Header and Footer section under Settings.
Note: Make sure that you have a Theme Builder add-on installed that includes Header, Footer, and Sider Editor functionality.
Visual Composer global header and footer controls allow:
- Use the theme default header and footer;
- Apply the custom header and footer to all site;
- Apply the custom headers and footers per post type.
To change header and footer all across your site, select ‘Apply custom header and footer (all site)’ and choose header and footer from the drop-down menus. Make sure you have created custom headers and footers with Visual Composer.
In addition, global header and footer controls allow you to change header and footer for pages, posts, custom post types, WooCommerce pages, and even default WordPress pages (ex. archive, 404, search results). To access controls, make sure to choose ‘Apply custom header and footer (per post type)’. Enable custom headers and footers for content type and select the header and footer.
Important: You can always overwrite specific page header and footer via OnPage Settings layout controls.
