Do I need coding experience?

No, not at all. Visual Composer is a good fit for both experts and beginners. With an intuitive drag and drop interface and with a range of pre-designed templates and content elements you can convert your imagination into a real website.

What is the difference between the Free and Premium versions?

Visual Composer free version is an ultimate page builder to get your web design project started. Visual Composer Premium unlocks a full website builder experience and gives you unlimited access to the Visual Composer Hub (a cloud marketplace of elements, templates, and extensions). Is Visual Composer the same as WPBakery?

Visual Composer Website Builder (visualcomposer.com) is a different product from WPBakery Page Builder (wpbakery.com). WPBakery Page Builder is only for the content part, while with Visual Composer Website Builder you can create a complete website. Do you offer after-sales support?

Yes, our team is providing support and is ready to help you. Whenever you have a question simply open a ticket with us in the support portal.

Is it easy to start using Visual Composer?

Yes, Visual Composer is a visual tool which means it lowers the barrier for non-technical people to start their web projects. With an intuitive interface and comprehensive tutorials (including video tutorials), you will become a WordPress expert in less than a day.

What will happen when my subscription expires?

Visual Composer will continue working on your website even after your subscription expires. Still, an active license ensures uninterrupted access to plugin updates, content elements updates, templates updates as long as access to the Hub and our support.

Plugin updates may be required to ensure compatibility with the new releases of WordPress or other WordPress-related products.

Will Visual Composer work on WordPress.com?

Yes, it will work on WordPress.com on a “Business” plan. On other plans, WordPress.com doesn’t allow us to upload third-party plugins. Another option is using a self-hosted WordPress installation on a hosting of your choice.

Do you offer a free trial?

Yes, we do offer an option to try out Visual Composer Premium.

Do you offer student discounts?

Yes, If you are a current student or faculty member, you may be eligible for our Students Program. Send us a message from our contacts page from an email that you received from your University.

Does Visual Composer Website Builder work with any WordPress theme?

Visual Composer Website Builder works with all properly coded themes without any problems. What does “properly coded theme” means? There is an official WordPress Codex which states rules which need to be followed when you develop your WordPress theme.

Can I use Visual Composer Website Builder with posts, pages, and custom posts?

Yes! Visual Composer Website Builder can be used for pages, posts, and custom post types. We also have a role manager that you can use to enable/ disable Visual Composer for certain post types.

Can I edit headers, footer, and sidebar?

Yes, if you have a premium version. Header, footer, sidebar, and overall theme edit and design options are available in the Visual Composer Website Builder Premium version.

Can I activate Visual Composer on staging?

While activating a license, Visual Composer will automatically detect whether your site is on staging or in production. It does that by detecting if it is hosted locally, if the URL contains phrases like “demo”, "sandbox", “test”, “dev”, etc.

Can I use Visual Composer Website builder on a multisite setup?

Yes, it is possible to activate the Visual Composer plugin on a whole multi-site network at once. To do that, log into your root site and activate Visual Composer license from there. Then, activate individual licenses for each sub-site. Note that each sub-site will require a license of its own. So if you are planning to build 5 sub-site or more then you will need at least the PLUS license or higher.
